Time for a Time-Out?
The reality is that we are all busy. BUT, if we are going to be successful in life, we must ensure that we achieve that balance between a great business and a great personal life.
This can best be achieved by making sure that we take the time out for ourselves and our family to attend to the things that really matter. In many ways, it’s a little like athletic training.
How does the runner know that they can run the 100 metres? How does the hurdler know that they will jump every hurdle? How does the football player know that the team will win? The answer to those questions are simple, they know it because they practice it. They train, they practice, they drill, so that what they do becomes a second nature to them. Yes the training and the practice is an effort but the doing becomes automatic.
We can do the same in business. We can practice taking time for ourselves, taking time for our families or taking time to do the things that matter most to us.
If we are not in business in order to feed our personal needs, to feed our soul and to make ourselves feel good about what we do then one must question why we are there in the first place! Take a few moments out of your day to review one of our Red Monkey Coaching workbooks “Prioritising and Planning” which we’ve supplied for you here. This will help you identify where you (and your team) could save time.
One of the best ways to free up your time is to learn the art of delegation. We’ve created a video which explains three simple steps you can master and ways to troubleshoot any issues which may arise. Click here to watch the video.
